After studying photography in Leipzig and working for several years at a renowned studio chain, he discovered his enthusiasm for iris photography – a technique that highlights the unique structure of the eye. With this specialization, he stands out from other photographers.

Thanks to his long professional experience, Mike has a trained eye and knows the operational processes of a photography studio. Originally from Eritrea, Mike lived in Germany for eight years and decided in 2024 to participate in StartHope@Home’s online coaching. There, he worked intensively on his business idea and developed his services through modules such as product development, clients, marketing & social media, financial planning, and mindset.

In July 2024, he returned to Addis Ababa and opened his first own studio. With the growing demand for professional photography and the cultural importance of capturing special life moments – from maternity and family shoots to portraits – Mike's photo studio attracts a wide audience there. He knows how to capture the personality and story of his clients in every picture.

Through TikTok and Instagram, he shares insights into his work and makes his studio more visible. Mike is proud to share his art with the community in Addis Ababa – and to capture a personal story with every photo. And we believe he can be proud of himself too.
