Joint Founding in Iraq

When Avin and Diyaree, who are parents of four children, first thought about returning and making a fresh start in Kurdistan, it was not an easy decision - despite the many social hurdles they faced in Germany.
In July 2023, they decided to take part in our coaching programme in Stuttgart. Initially sceptical about what a return would actually mean, they gradually began to develop new career prospects and reassess their options. In intensive face-to-face and online sessions, they dealt with topics such as customer management, marketing & social media as well as media skills. With each coaching session and each new insight, the thought of returning took on clearer and clearer contours - the concept of a life in Iraq grew and became a vision.

Before her time in Germany, Avin had worked in various administrative jobs after dropping out of an English degree. Diyaree has a bachelor’s degree in Islamic studies and previously worked in marketing for real estate companies. Both speak five languages fluently.

After successfully completing the programme in November 2023, Diyaree and Avin had to wait around another six months before they could return to Iraq. With a clear vision for their future, they finally returned to Erbil in May 2024 and quickly put their new knowledge into practice. They also acquired certificates in business management and consulting - nothing stood in the way of them setting up their consulting firm. With their company, Diyaree and Avin not only offer valuable services for companies and organisations, but also create important jobs in the region.
