88 participants from NGO’s, job and training centers, joined the Tour2Include Multiplier Events that were organized during the last months by the partner organizations CESIE and IDP in Italy and Symplexis and AKMI International in Greece.
Main goal was to spread news about the project and its final outcomes, but in the end much broader subjects were discussed during the sessions. More country specific in Italy, were the consequences of Covid-19 for Palermo’s labor market was a big topic, which as the rest of Sicily, is heavily relying on the tourism sector.
The events happening in Greece dealt with the importance of digital skills and soft skills as requirements in today’s job market and presented useful and practical tips on how migrants and refugees wishing to enter in the tourism industry could create an improve their CVs.
In the end all events brought us a lot closer to our goal of making it easier for people with a migration background to enter the tourism and hospitality sector in the participating countries.
Tour2Include is a project co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission: it aims to establish an innovative approach with the intention to support low-skilled migrants who would like to work in the Tourism Sector to acquire the necessary typical and soft skills.
